What We Collect

Rivl uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how long for, and general location and device type. This only runs if you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no analytics data is collected for your visit.

Rivl also uses Sentry for error monitoring — if something breaks while you're using the site, technical details about the crash (not your personal browsing history) are logged so we can fix it.

Your theme and layout preferences (dark/light mode, editorial/standard type style) are saved in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and never leave your device.

What We Don't Do

• No advertising or ad-tracking cookies
• No selling or sharing your data with third parties for marketing
• No account required to use the site, so no password or payment data is held for free users

Your Choice

You can decline analytics at any time by clearing the rivl-consent entry from your browser's local storage and reloading the page — the cookie banner will reappear.
